Default NYC commute

We live 1:20 drive time from LGA and 1:45-1:50 from JFK. Too far?

Too far for what?
If you mean 'Report for RSV assignment'; then no, not really, but JFK could be tighter.
Parking is at Lefferts Blvd, add ~20 minutes minimum to get to T4. There's something of a shortcut via T2 and the Jitney, or a decent walk through Terminal 4. We're at B4x to B55. It's quite the stroll.
LGA parking is awful. P10 is the other side of the Marine Air Terminal (aka 'MAT') and can add 30 minutes to your journey. From the West Side of Manhattan its taken me longer on the parking bus than driving to the airport...
You should be fine. Once you hold a line it becomes much easier of course, but you live close enough to pick up trips, and thats were the money is.
The culture here is such that; even of you are running late; an apologetic call to Crew Scheduling is likely enough for you never to hear anything about it again. -As long as its not habitual, obviously...

Are those "worst traffic" numbers? If so, LGA, yes and easy. JFK will be very tight but possible.

If those aren't worst traffic numbers, you might need to camp out at a starbucks or something a bit closer during peak traffic times.

20 minutes minimum for terminal 4? I give myself 45 minimum from Howard beach. Even walking to our T4 gates from KCM takes 20 minutes alone. I don’t think LGA parking is all that bad, especially since they got the employee shuttle with a schedule instead of having to rely on the red route buses to come randomly.

90% of my reserve assignments were given above and beyond the minimum connection time. As long as you’re within the 2.5 hours (less 30 mins for lga and 35 for jfk) you’re good...there’s a 15 min buffer time as our contract has a 45 min show time and only requires you to arrive at gate 30 prior. Any crazy traffic / accident situation just call cs. Union mec chairman has stated no one has been disciplined here in recent times for not making the callout for such reasons.
