Sooo every single non protection captain offered a flow within the next ~20 months, after that about every DEC should be immediately able to advance (have fulfilled 2 years CA). Not to mention every normal CAP CA right behind flow cutoff that has been CA for two years at that point. Nevermind the loss of all experience besides protections. What gives? PS: Hiring less than half the people than last year not going to come back and bite?

The flying will be mainline. DL has apparently bought a dozen used 717s for parts. Those things are being sent back to service faster than planned in 2021/22. Looo at 320/737 bid packs at mainline, it’s all returning to sender.

So, for new hire FOs, is future flow based on date of hire or do I go on the list based on completing 2 years as a Captain? And could a person sitting copilot still flow … in theory?

It’s both. Date of hire and completing 2 years as a captain.

So, if you upgrade and serve the 24 months prior to someone hired months earlier, you’d potentially get to flow earlier? TIA
