The issue is stapling Endeavor would cause 3000+ training events that have to be completed in 6 months, that's a lot worse than ~100 or so pilots leaving 9E every month. If a staple is happening, it's at least 3 years or more away.
Y’all act like this would be some spur of the moment decision, with no forethought. (Granted DL management has been caught in that pickle before) EDV wouldn’t be stapled, there would be a negotiated SLI/LOA where the DAL pilots would be placed on top of the EDV pilots and then subsequent pilots would be placed below both lists. Every pilot would be entitled to their current position and could bid to the equipment their new seniority could hold based on new vacancies. There may be negotiated fences and super seniority right to ensure that the fleets remain staffed and sims stay at capacity- but it wouldn’t be a free for all. Or, DAL/EDV could negotiate to have seniority numbers provided to a designated class of EDV pilots (EDV CAs upon CA checkout) as part of a package offering enhanced items to DAL pilots. |

Why would DALPA even entertain those negotiations?
Because there would be an opportunity to bring in 150 RJ's in house, along with 1,600 pilots. That's a huge win and important first step at: Clawing. Back. Scope. If it's going to happen, it will in stages, and easiest for it to begin right here. And Endeavor's 200's are gone by the end of next month. A few 700's could be rehomed. Then it's a nice easy transition of an all 900 fleet to Delta as early as May 1st. |
Upgrade on the 757/767 is under six months in NYC, who is going to bid CRJ capt at mainline? If mainline wants an RJ, might as well just continue to order 220s or branch out into the E2. I don’t see why they’d bother to fly a scope-restricted jet at mainline rates.

Why would DALPA even entertain those negotiations? They can simply say "we have rates for the aforementioned airplanes, put them on our certificate". There will be no staple, no integration, nothing. The planes will go to Delta (if they choose to go that route). The people will not. Some of you all need to think outside of just the pilot group.

Delta could simply do that... in 2029. The bridge agreement prevents Delta from taking most of the planes from 9E.
Like it said, not happening, DL has the 717 and 220 to replace parked commuters. |

Why did pilots bid the Mad Dog? Why do pilots bid the 717? More fleet options at mainline carriers gives mainline pilots more options to improve relative seniority.
