Here we go…….

Btw ….how many times have I asked “clear right” when the body in the right seat doesn’t even bother to lift their head and look before blurting “clear right!” ?

It would be minimal expense to pay the FA’s, mechanics and dispatchers at 9E mainline rates at this point. Most of the gate agents and ground crews are UNIFI anyway. This way Delta takes over all the training and leadership . There are over 300 current 9E captains with United/American/ Southwest CJO’s . It’s about to get ugly . Current negotiations are underway . What’s gonna keep those pilots from leaving when Delta keeps pushing back the flow ? It would have to be a significant amount of money probably over half a million dollars or a seniority number . Anything else is not gonna work . Just merge it on , figure out a simple way to do it ( no they can’t staple since that’s illegal and they can’t fire everyone at Endeavor and then have Delta re hire everyone cause that would cause thousands of flights to be canceled , Thousands of stranded passengers and millions in training costs ) . It’s not rocket science .
If you really had your chance to flow, and didn’t see the 10,000 red flags sticking with the CRJ and not choosing a mainline job, you really shouldn’t be in the left seat of an airliner because your judgment is severely lacking. Stop living in this fantasy and beating this dead horse here and in the delta threads.

I am curious. In my entire career I never had to hit the brakes from the right side and never had anyone do it when I was in the left seat. Your post makes this sound like a recurring event. How often does this happen to you?

he may have cleared it before you looked over because he knew it was coming. I used to keep actively looking right to make the other guy feel like i was taking it seriously when its a closed runway and we were pointing that way on the raxi before he turned it left.

so far ive had very little of the "low skill high confidence" FOs at delta but i dont come to work much if i can help it.

When the regional airlines started to boom and the RJ use exploded you needed 2500 plus hours of total time and at least 500 multi engine. Nobody with 1500 hours of 172 time and 25 multi even got an interview.

sure, 30 years ago. Theyve been looking for wet certs since 06 with regulation being the only thing that stopped it.

Now do the 1990s, when guys were going to major airlines with a couple hundred hours and a wet commercial license.
