Any info on Endeavor realignment?

Supposedly coming out tomorrow. Closing JFK 200? Increasing positions anywhere? Discuss.

MrMustache 08-01-2013 08:20 AM

O yippy.

I am sure most think it will show 717 openings.

Will 08-01-2013 08:34 AM

It will to the flow pilots and SSP pilots.

I'm just curious to how many 700 captain positions will be open.

Only 12 the rest will be going to the 727. We are bringing them back so the FO's that do not have 1500 can sit side ways.

FE? That's worse than being a ” copilot”! You old losersneed to move on!

Mesabah 08-01-2013 03:58 PM

What would an FE position pay at a regional? $7.50hr?

80ktsClamp 08-01-2013 04:00 PM

It will have CRJ-700 positions and announce the cancellation of all CRJ-200 parking.

I know his post is a joke but, many have mentioned on here that CRJ 700 were rumored to head your way. Just inquiring minds.

Capped at 2 years.

avi8tor220 08-01-2013 04:17 PM

We are not getting 700s. We can't even staff our current fleet.

If they took PFEs, we old farts could look forward to 90% of CA pay.

The times I got to jumpseat on a DC-8, I loved seeing the middle aged CA confirming power settings etc with the Old Man sitting side saddle. Respect.

Freezing Cold take

preflight 07-23-2019 08:34 AM

Delta decided to make the A220s scope compliant, all first class config (no middle seats)! First deliveries in September bid.

The CRJ550s will replace all 200s in JFK.

And we all get 3 weeks vacation going forward...seems most likely of all the scenarios presented thus far!

Lol you must not be on reserve. We're still so overstaffed. Not to mention hiring is about to pick up again something fierce

You mean, "the book by some clown that was one of the meaningless test pilots for bombardier and made stuff up to sound shmaaart" manual?

TalkTurkey 07-23-2019 08:46 PM

The mad dogs are extending their retirements and they are sending 7 or 8 old dogs to heavy check on account of Airbus delaying some deliveries. In case you’re interested.

Let's talk about subject thread discipline. Back in the old days, a pilot knew how to stay on topic or when to start a new thread. But kids now-a-days, they got no thread discipline! They got that thar PTSD or ADD or som'thin....they just want to do everything at once or they're too lazy to start their own subject thread!

I used to type a post uphill both ways. The keyboards were so old fashion i had to stick my finger in the socket to get the "g" key to work. And we liked it, and were happy for it!

Changes the thread topic to preach about not changing the thread topic... classic.

In my country you could ride for days and see no ground water. I have lapped filthy water from a hoof print and was glad to have it...wait wrong thread.. I’ll see myself out.

What's your secret? They have only called me twice over 2 months. Bid first out and everything...

Seniority, and bidding for shorter stretches is probably the way to do it.

900 or 200? I’ve had one 4 day since November on the 900 in ATL. Nothing but ready reserve, out and backs and maybe a 2 short overnights a month. I’m bidding first out as well. Lately a lot of nothing for 3 days then a out and back with a 3 hour sit assigned not long after i check in for my commute home.

Was like this for months in NYC but last two weeks, I've tripled block time for the last three months...not saying that's a lot 30 v. 10! I'm writing it off to end of summer and return to school though.
