Thank you all once again! $17,100 first day for all pilots $5,000 additional for those selecting 145/CRJ Base pay first year is $37.90/hr. Figure on 2.5 months of training guarantee (64 hrs). 75 hr guarantee for reserve. 72 hr guarantee for line holder. Per diem is $1.85/ hr 16 hrs per day while in new-hire training Typical annual per diem seems to be in the $4-5k range (assuming you fly a typical monthly schedule...not a local bidding reserve to avoid flying) $20,000 retention bonus during 2nd and 3rd years ($10k/year). Paid in quarterly installments of $2,500. Base pay for second year goes up $1-$2. Open time is paid at 150% Critical coverage is paid at 200% |
Thank you very much

If you live in base or pick up OT during your reserve time it's not difficult to credit 100 hrs in a month. Which equates to 4000 x 12 month 48k + 10k + per diem. Some people would argue 100 hr per month isn't realistic. However it really is very easy to do. Being on reserve I don't get used much so it's easy to pick up OT without QOL suffering. When I was getting used everyday it was much harder to get myself to pick up OT. For a while I didn't pick up any OT. |
There is no retention bonus for new captains. If you upgrade quickly, don't expect to see much of that "$20,000 bonus paid quarterly over 2 years," as that's only for FOs.

Yeah but if you factor in the captain pay rate does it make sense to wait as an FO to get that $2,500 quaterly bonus ? |

It's about a $1500/month take home difference taking the upgrade on RSV vs senior fo line holder w ot. If it's worth it or not to you is a personal choice. I ran the list it's a handful of guys who skipped upgrade, more than a handful are skipping the first opportunity and taking the second.

When you do elect to upgrade you then fall into the same year of service pay that you previously held as a FO, correct? Thanks. |
