EZTracker 401k

I know there are a lot of new hires coming through the doors at Envoy these days. Getting your 401k started is probably the last thing on the list of things to get done for many of you, but the earlier you can get started the better. I've been using EZTracker for several years now and have had great results. They have different portfolio models to track depending on if you want aggressive, conservative, or moderate. I know a lot of people in the past have used it, and thats how I found out about it. They publish a monthly newsletter thats extremely informative. Not a sales pitch but just a strong recommendation...and I hope for them to keep publishing the newsletter throughout the future. Plus with the FO pay now theres no excuse not to chip in at least enough to get the company match.

You can get a free sample of the newsletter by emailing or calling the number:

I don't use it myself but have heard good things.

The most important point is GET THE COMPANY MATCH!! ITS FREE MONEY!!

The union includes a bit about 401k enrollment probably once a quarter in its emails, and it's always stunning to me how many people don't partake in the program. I get that some might need all the money they could get, but enrollment is maybe 2/3 of the pilot group and that's it.

I've been meaning to sign up. Whats the min contribution in order to get it going?

As I understand it, there is no matching until you have completed your first year. Then 50% of your contribution up to 7%

been using this service for 7 years. to save money, you could split the two year cost with another pilot and have them email you the monthly newsletter.
great service, recommend it.

Anyone know how the EZ Tracker compares to Empower's Professional Management Program?

...almost similar, i found a $2k difference between the two. $2k is a significant amount for me, that's why i made the jump.

i update every end of month with the aggressive portfolio, no complaints.

if you know someone who is a member, let the eztracker admins know and that person will get a free month.

Not quite a year at the company and I thought putting more to my mortgage was a better investment than the 401k. But once I’m eligible for the match, I don’t want to leave any money in the AAG coffers once I am eligible.

But I really don’t understand this EZ Tracker and all the fees. I have several 401k from other companies and never had to pay anything. You chose your fund and put in what ever you wanted. I never jumped around funds but thought that was always an option with them.

So can you just contribute? I really don’t want to pay for brokerage fees or investment advice.

EZ Tracker is just a service you can purchase with investment advice. Completely optional. If you wanna go at it yourself, have at it.

There's a expense ratio S&P 500 index fund already in the standard portfolio, which is my poor man's eztracker.

What kind of returns are you getting with that?

1/1/17-12/31/17 was 21.76. So #%&$ing crazy. Otherfunds performed better, semi high expense ratios though. But what a crazy year. But for anyone needing to just park funds and still be aggressive enough, start there.

Nice. EZ got me 25% over that period so I'll stick with it for now. EZ or no EZ, great to see the market kicking ass.

Does anyone know where the language is in the contract that we do not get company matching until 1 year of service? It looked to me like we get immediate matching up to 3.5% at a rate of 1/2 up to7%. But I just grazed it over quickly.

I don’t recommend any professional management, because you don’t usually beat the market, then if you add in the fees....you’ll be more behind than ahead.

Put your money in an S&P500 index fund. Professional money manager “subscriptions” are generally a waste of your money. There are maybe only a handful of good ones, and I can tell you they are not managing 401ks for regional pilots.

InHouse 01-10-2018 07:54 PM

Totally man, I mean it’s a great deal for THEM...they make money either way!

They make their cash off of people thinking that they know better than the market, in reality, nobody and I mean NOBODY really knows. It’s all speculation.

There’s 2 or 3 in the world that can. Bridgewater beat the market 25/28 years....and when they were accepting new investors the minimum to invest was 300million.
