That's not what it's about. You can spend years and years at a legacy and not get the holidays off. This is the first chance in a long time for many of those people to spend Christmas with their families. They are mainline pilots, they don't need any extra cash. So how does Joe the pilot explain to his wife and kids that he won't be home for Christmas because he wants to pick up a 200% trip they don't need?

AA just Approved Duty rigs
5:15 min day now...just came out today. Unfortunately it doesn't go into effect until August of 2018. Should make all those 30 hour layovers in Lihue, Maui, Honolulu and Kona a bit more tolerable now.

AA pay is an average of UA and DL. Trip rig is 3.5:1 which is same as UA and DL. Average calendar day is 5:15 effective 1 Aug is same as UA and DL. Profit sharing is lower. Guarantee isn’t an issue with PBS. |
