Default Backgrounds and Captain's Boards

How long does it typically take the company to complete the background portion after the interview?

How often are Captain's Boards to review the applicant files, and when are the next ones scheduled?

How to long to hear back after the board?

Thanks.

As long as they are offering hard bonuses, you can expect to be hired by just about any regional in the business. It’s good now, hope it stays that way...but it’s just a big cycle.

When it’s good or when it’s bad, the company cares about who you are and your background about the same: zero. It’s just a conversation piece in the interview. Don’t be a crazy person and have your flight ratings and you’re good.

Not good or bad, just the nature of the biz. We are parts, kinda like the wings, can’t fly without them.

Background depends on what your history looks like....a lot of jobs and moving around a lot takes a little longer. Captain boards are every Friday I believe

Hold a mirror to your nose and breathe. Did the mirror fog up? Congratulations, you passed the captain's review board.

Those "Captains" are all upper management pilots. But they have more line experience than you and they are in positions where they know the kind of pilot that makes it through training and the kind that doesn't.
