E75 Upgrade Training Footprint

Saw the question posted somewhere but no answer. If on the 75 and upgrading is there a shorter training footprint now? When I went through as an FO upgrades where doing the same program minus Indoc.

Qualified Upgrade should be shorter. I’m assuming the CAs you were working with hadn’t come straight from 175 FO to 175 CA.

Yes... one did but I recall he did the full program minus Indoc. Maybe nothing has changed and I just received bad info.

If I remember correctly there was QUG program in development for the 175 but the first trial runs didn't go so well. I'm not sure if they are going to, or already have, brought it back.

Is it possible for a new hire 145 FO to be awarded a 175 FO slot within their fist year of Envoy?

Only if that 145 FOs status gets eliminated, triggering a displacement bid. Highly unlikely.

Curious to know how many 175 CA there are and how man 145 CA there on bids. What are the chances of a 145 CA getting into the 175 as a CA. Curiosity is all

30% can go to existing captains on other equipment. Seniority and seat lock are the only other things preventing a CA equipment transfer.

Like the last guy said 30%.

However, there are other ways for a 145 CA guy to get the 175 IF he hasn't finished IOE/Fed ride. A Pilot doesn't become a CA until he completely finishes training.

Please do explain, Sir.
