I think Swayne is a good guy and I really don't care that he makes videos about Envoy. Would I love to see one where on day 4 he gets a creeping MX delay and then gets a JP into a day off where he has to ferry a plane to CMH and make his way home? Yup. Showing the full experience would be great, but he doesn't tell any lies in his videos. He gives accurate descriptions, (he highlighted how commuting blows without saying commuting blows) and in his last one, he was flying with an awesome captain who probably went a long way in mentoring him to make solid command decisions when he upgrades. The kid has a good hustle going on. As a lover of the free market, I say good for him. Make that paper. Hopefully, he will make some more realistic videos this fall as the industry continues to embrace the suck.

I noticed the title was “5 Legs, 220 passengers”. I don’t think I’ll carry 220 pax this entire month.

Nothing. Except that doing it in uniform with company equipment etc is expressly forbidden and is creating an outside opportunity to make money that is not afforded to the other 2500 pilots in the company, save for one.
Now you DO have the policy you complained about. There is only one. |

The second half if this argument about the opportunity not being afforded the other 2500 pilots is BS. Anybody can start a YouTube channel.
Now you DO have the policy you complained about. There is only one. Are you sure you even know what you’re talking about? FM1 specifically forbids social media postings that feature company property, personnel, operational events and more Hence the, “opportunities not afforded to everyone else” This isn’t about whether or not someone can “make a YouTube channel” and you know it. Why are you even commenting on Envoy policies? You work at Mesa. |
