Is this approved at Envoy ? if not, has anyone complained about it or reported someone to uniform police?

big AA does not officially endorse the crew sweater as an outermost garment

No, it's not, but half of what people are wearing isn't "approved". As long as you look professional, you should be fine. Variations on uniform pieces like A Cut Above are so close, its hard to tell. The only place I'd say it's even a remote possibility of an issue is in Chicago. There's a particular person that gets his kicks off of looking for uniform infractions. There's also one or two grumpy old bastards that have anointed themselves as uniform Gestapo, but you'll likely never encounter them. There are very few pilots that wear ONLY M&H items.

Yes, this ^^^.

During mandatory Blazer Season the ORD CP seems to put out an HI6 message every month or so admonishing folks to only wear M&H kit.

And yup, the *only* person that has given me in-person grief about wearing a sweater was an ORD union rep. SMH

What about cowboy boots? Still new here and looking for shoes. I see boots are approved in the FOM but have heard certain people are anti-cowboy boots. Found a pair of Chelsea Tecovas I like but they’re leather bottomed and I’d rather not slip and die in the terminal. Found some rubber soled Tecovas I like but they’re cowboy boots, and I’d rather not rub someone the wrong way while I’m still on probation haha

A LOT of guys wear cowboy boots, myself included. As long as they are the pilot boots, or look like dress shoes on the bottom, you'll be just fine. Now you show up with wild stitching or some sort of nonsense, you probably won't be.

Sweet! Yeah, just plain black. Ended up getting the Tecovas but I’m probably gonna get a pair of Ariat or Justin ropers too so I don’t ruin em with deicing fluid and what not this winter
