There's nothing to grieve. The Standing Vacancy LOA addresses this.

I mean lets be fair here, we are now getting paid as a captain even when we are not yet one in practice. I think it would be unreasonable to also expect to keep the FO retention bonus on top of that. I am all for getting our fair share, but that would have been double dipping.

I am not surprised at all that we don't get it and to be honest, would have just expected it to go away once awarded.
