Gov charts are Chum Bucket

I flew with a guy who had it. He paid for the year subscription which was like $99. He said it was worth errry penny

It's up to you if you want to install unapproved apps on your tablet, just make sure you don't use them with the wrong guy.

I meant as an approved app.

Foreflight with a Stratus would be awesome. Or just authorization to use WiFi.

Neither will happen. ADS-B receivers aren't approved above the mid FL20s and Envoy is too cheap to pay for the Go Go subscription.

I don’t think it is a cost issue I think it is a fleet issue. With more than half our fleet unable to get WiFi onboard it would cause issues.

It's a cost issue. FAA trials for inflight WSI WiFi were conducted a couple of years ago for the 175 and CRJ. The company even spent resources on rewriting the STC for the 175 WiFi to comply with the FAA to have inflight WiFi approved. Once everything was just about ready to go, AA began moving away from GoGo to sat based WiFi for the mainline fleet. GoGo was not pleased and in turn decided they were going to charge an arm and a leg to allow Envoy to have inflight WiFi. Envoy said, no thanks.

We had a mainline jumpseater on the 175 and he was connected to WSI through a WiFi connection named “AA crew” or something like that. Be nice if Envoy could give us access to it, as it’s there not being put to use.
