Yep if they couldn't care less then there'd be a problem.

Thank you.

I generally get annoyed with grammar police and spelling police on informal internet forums but this is a pet peeve of mine that just grates on me every time I hear/read it.

nobody is manning the gates or hardly ever are. You won’t have any issues. Even when there is someone watching all you do is hold up your badge from a distance. They could care less.

And the gate will open regardless

I see this is an older thread, but are non-AA/Envoy pilots allowed to use this parking as well? I’m a home based pilot about to move to the metroplex, and will commute out of DFW to wherever my trip originates for 2 week rotations, and trying to find an affordable parking option. Many thanks.

The gate they are referring to no longer exists. It was an employee lane that was available at the main gate during covid. Now, it's back to the employee lot.

No, you won't get employee parking at DFW.

DFW parking office only works with airlines who have an actual base in DFW.

You'll be Uber Diamond very quick.

I believe anyone can get DFW parking (who pays for it, company or employee, is another question...) as long as the employee presents a letter on company letterhead attesting to the need for parking. Indeed the airline must have flights into DFW.

That's not true. DFW parking office only works with the few airlines who are actually based there. They don't allow it to anyone else.

Sir, that is incorrect. If you work for an airline that flies into DFW (has gates etc there), you can obtain a DFW Employee Parking pass. You need a letter from your company however. What back-alley-drug-deal your company and the parking office have is another story, but I know for a fact that your company does not need to be "based" at DFW, in any shape or manner.

The parking office phone number is +1-972-973-8040

When did this change? The answer used to be "go to your CPO, we don't deal with pilots" when you contacted them directly.
