Envoy delinquent on 30k retention bonus
Just received the email from the Union. Our first bonus payment for $30,000 will be delayed until at least the last paycheck of the month. We initialed and signed in a legally binding contract first paycheck of Novemeber.

Almost anyone could run this company better than the people currently running it. It's wild. You just push the button, move the paper from one stack to the other. It's not like any decisions are made at our level, and yet we have several whole buildings full of management staff that bump us off flights when we're trying to get to work and for what? This? Disgraceful.

I hope my union dues are at work right now.
This is embarrassing. |
Don’t worry my dudes. I have it on good authority that the courier is on the way with everyone’s jellybean of the month membership right now!

The best part is that there will be absolutely zero accountability for this screw up. The management of Envoy continues to drop the ball and makes it through unscathed. They are all Teflon. Doesn’t matter what the FAA says, whether they have an operational meltdown and strand their crews without hotels, an unnecessary furlough, they will come through smiling and suckering cadets into a career at Envoy.

Don't forget to minimize airborne wifi data usage

would they really turn off critical data that can only be used for flight safety purposes? I’m sure that would not look good to the FAA. im sure some bean counter didn’t account for this cost, and now there is hell to pay. Good thing they can take it out of our 401k and promised bonuses:) |

I’ve asked an AA guy if it was a thing to be cognizant of WiFi usage. He was clueless; said they both turn everything on and forget about it. My guess the “5 times data usage of mainline” is complete made up lie in hopes people are scared to use it.

I would believe five times the budget they planned for, but certainly not actual data consumption. Literally it is the same data and in fact, mainline has features Envoy doesn’t. Talking to someone who was involved in the process, the GoGo data is much more expensive than the satellite based data, but someone definitely didn’t do their homework about how much data would be used and therefore cost.
