They can "discuss" planes all they want, this pilot group voted down a deal for more planes than they can offer us now after they awarded 20 to Compass. This process seems like a waste if time designed to keep us limping through summer, having guys hold on to that tiny bit of hope that things could get better.

Yeah. If it does't have some seriously enhanced flow or something good I don't see it passing. They can't even offer what they offered before now that they gave planes to Compass.

Here is an offer that would pass.
1) give us our name back, "American Eagle" and get rid of the horrendous Envoy name.

2) no concessions, we already have a horrible bankruptcy contract

3) all hiring for AA done through Eagle. Staffing and high longevity solved.

4) fire Jerry Glass because he is a useless waste of money that probably costs more than the concessions save anyway.

Done..

What will they get from us?
They will save a tremendous amount of money in fuel/productivity from people actually caring again. Because right now, nobody cares and they do absolutely as little as possible to help out.

With you guys, it's now more about image than money. They'll spend millions to preserve their image. Those millions are up for grabs. Act wisely.

They were in a hurry to get a deal last time too, and the time before that, yet each time they shoot themselves in the foot by offering us their unacceptable garbage. A deal that doesn't include current pay / work rules or better and class dates at AA in addition to these airplanes will end up just like the last rounds did.

You keep saying to "act wisely", so for us thicker skulled types what exactly does that mean? Play hard to get or take the concession? Or something else?

I don't think concessions are possible, and I believe it will not pass any ratification vote if anything resembling anything like concessions are involved.

I would support throwing out PBS and/or the entire PTO system to return to the former vacation/sick bank policy, with maybe more of an industry sized sick bank monthly contribution, like 3 or 4... I would not think that would be a concession.

I have stated multiple times the absolute second a major calls me I'm gone. It has nothing to do with eagle getting better, it has everything to do with nobody calling.

No kidding! Same with the rest of us! What you and the rest of us both need though is the survival of eagle until that day comes, unless you feel like starting over at another regional?!... I'm not for concessions just like everyone else but we do need to reach some sort of agreement to replace our fleet and attract new hires. I'm hopeful that the union will be able to reach an agreement. They have done well so far in trying to get us something better, which is a far cry from the last regime!
