We are in negotiations right now...still 11 sections to go including compensation.

Union sent out an update saying that Mmgt tried twice to offer a "closeout" proposal but it offered little in value to the pilots. Counter-offers were sent including signing bonuses, increased per diem and/or increased compensation.

That was rejected by mgmt of course. Union says it will not go for minimalist increases in compensation with no tangible return for pilots.

We are in a concessionary contract from last decade and thankfully there are still enough people around here to remember that. General feeling I get from pilot group is that a good contract is better than succumbing to SJS.

Next mediation session is late next month.

Yes it is possible, but most recently, new hires are initially based in JFK

And ORD is shrinking.

JFK is the Jr base since BK when they made JFK and LGA co domicile. If you're in NYC you have to cover JFK and LGA.
