Envoy Air to hire 1000+ pilots in 2014/2015
They need to account for the American flow and attrition.

Is that just for the flows? What happened to hiring 500 pilots already?

Sounds like a repeat of the American Eagle PR sham of 2013, where they said "we're hiring 600 pilots!". Rumor by the end of 2013 had it they had not brought on more than 150.

Flows should be at a rate of 300-500 pilots a year depending on Americans needs. Right now 300 would be on the low side. What happens when the US Air hiring combined with AA? Could be even more.

actually its 450. company did not get 600 this years so they are combining this year and next to make up for the loss.
why would envoy need 1000 new pilots.
250 flow to aa.
another 350 leave for total 600 pilot loss.
parking an additional 20 e140 aircraft by end of year thats 260 less pilots needed. PBS reduces staffing by 10% thats another 260 less pilots. So by end of year they envoy will need 520 less pilots than they do today.
it is there numbers that i am using.

Wasn't a PR sham. We went into bankruptcy and didn't hire anyone in 2012! In 2013 we did need 600 pilots but were unable to attract that many..... who would want to come to a bankrupt shrinking airline?!.....
