Geez, what a bunch of Dickheads!
I'm new here too - trying to get information on Regionals, and which company to approach, and all I see is a bunch of squabbling schoolgirls. Call yourselves mature aviation professionals? Could have fooled me. Grow up, and stop being a bunch of *****y little minxes. |

(Don't get me wrong, some people have reached out and helped via PM) |
Its amazing what a few years does to a regional. Wasn't envoy ...errr I mean american eagle top notch with +3000 pilots and bases in lax, ord, dfw, jfk & sju? Now two bases left, half the pilot group painting a rosey picture huh skyvector? Come be RSC for life!

Why wouldn't you just tell us instead of dropping some vague hint? "I know something you don't know!" Pretty weak.
Because if it's who I think is behind the screen name, he's probably got good info from a reputable, high-up contact but will only be given such info as long as details are not revealed early. Recent upper management shifts at big brother have placed people who favor envoy/WO over contract carriers into power. They've recognized envoy's increased operational quality as of late. Despite qol still lacking here, once and for all, finally, I think things will be changing for the better, beyond catching up (or at least getting a lot closer) on newbie pay rates. AAG has too many regionals, IMO. I think streamlining is coming soon. Timed with more favorable management at big brother and the merger items at mainline just about done, focus will turn towards the regionals. We'll see where the cards fall but after years of dark clouds, I think we may see some sun here at eaglevoy. |

Considering envoy.. Any info?
Got a response asking to call and set up an interview. Hopefully I'll get a slot for this Thursday or Friday. Any advice?
(Positive contributions only, please) Edit: my goal is DFW/175 can we still get those in contract? |

How's life at Air Wisconsin? You obviously haven't gotten over it. Life sucks being at a dying airline doesn't it? Don't worry..you always have Mesa to make Air Wisconsin seem almost not so bad. |

(Positive contributions only, please) Edit: my goal is DFW/175 can we still get those in contract? They didn't hire for the 175 in September in order to let the school house catch up, but I am sure they will in the future. I go to class in Jan, and want it as well, but the more I think about it, the better the 145 sounds in either base because that is where the upgrades are coming off of. The 175 is the junior plane and you'll have less upward movement on it. Good luck to you. |
I posted on a different envoy thread and never got a response so here it goes again hopefully somebody can answer my questions.
I have an interview on the 10 th of next month and I have a couple of questions about life at Envoy. I want to get DFW for sure, what is my best option ERJ145 or 175? Also how is QOL in general? how many consecutive days off? how many on the road? Reserves for a new hire? |

You'll be reserve for a while, usually three days off between. If you live in base it isn't bad. 175s are only in DFW, for now. There will be more movement in the 145 and they will be in all bases, seems the safest bet long term. lots of new hires coming in the next few months. |

Also how is QOL in general? how many consecutive days off? how many on the road? Reserves for a new hire? QOL is still an issue. The main issue is schedules and it doesn't seem to be getting better. This is by far the easiest and quickest fix issue to solve. AAG needs to provide Envoy better flight routes and more mid-day flying. Until that happens average line values will be 72 hrs with 14 days off. So if you are junior then you will be getting 72 hrs and 11 days off. This causes people to bid reserve instead of lines. Reserve isn't too bad. It all depends on how many people they have on reserve. It's a pain if you have to commute because the last day isn't guaranteed to be commutable. First day starts at 4am unless you can trade out of it. You get 11 days off per month. Three sets of three days off in a row is what you are going to end up with. 3-3-3-2 or 1-3-3-3-1 is how they group your days off for the month. You usually end up with 4or five day stretches where you have to work. Things are honestly looking better but thee are still some issues. |
