Considering envoy.. Any info?
 

Hi all,

I'm thinking about joining the envoy crew. I don't have anyone that I know of who works there to talk to so maybe you guys can help?

I'm wanting to join them because of the Dallas base and the flow straight through to American, and of course the new pay raises and bonuses.

Any pros or cons? Inside info I should know? I don't want a bunch of angry people venting on here.. Constructive feedback please.

It's a good place to work, some of the highest pay in the industry, no-interview flow to AA, and the full backing & funding of American Airlines. Great benefits including the best travel privileges on the entire AA network..equal boarding priority as any AA pilot.

Is there anyway to wait for Dfw before I start if it isn't available right away? I have family in dallas so that would make reserve a piece of cake.. How about for airframe? I'd definitely prefer the E175

What do you think is the average age of a new hire class? Maybe I'll be old enough to get what I want anyway haha.

The OP seems to be a lame (and rather apparent) recruiting attempt for Envoy.

It's not that easy, these are fake post by skyvector, so it gets annoying. Take where terog4 says "maybe I'll be old enough to get what I want anyways, haha" that is not how someone would say it. That is a forced comment trying to look real. Or where he calls us immature and bickering, again a new person wouldn't say that, they would want to fit in and there question answered. Instead skyvector couldn't contain himself, and lashed out because we always call him out on his rainbowing of envoy.

Smutter & the fired-from-envoy ag386 are pathetic. Don't pay any attention to them. ag386 alone has over 5 different screen names on here. Smutter is probably one of them. So everyone else must as well.

He's just angry. Envoy fired him, he cried, tried to get his job back and was unable. Now he has to watch people have bright careers while he's stuck in neutral at some fly by night operation.

What is a "new person" anyway? I couldn't imagine you have any idea the experience I have, just because I just joined this forum site. I don't need to "fit in". ESPECIALLY with people like YOU! Sad thread. Went from zero to bicker in just a few posts.

Envoy is what you make of it. Right now, choices are limited when it comes to bases. Might that change? Yes, but don't base a career on it. The pay has changed significantly for the better, but that pay is also planned out in such a manner that you aren't expected to stay at ENY for long. They expect you to flow. What happens if you don't due to factors outside the industry's control? There are also QOL issues right now, and those have not been resolved. The flow? It works in fits and starts. It hinges on new hires. Right now, the flow is picking up along with hiring and some upgrades, so it's looking better for everyone. AA is projecting a need to hire over 750 next year, so if the flows go when they're supposed to and the hiring at ENY can sustain those numbers it'll be a great time to be a pilot here.

What AMF says here is all true. It's the best advice regarding Envoy. What's sad is that Envoy recruiters have to create multiple screen names just to try and sell their product.

I would shoot for the E175 no doubt about it. Better schedules, better airplane IMHO.

Be advise, the CRJ's are scheduled to leave sometime next year to PSA and some E145's to Piedmont.

There's a reason for that, just wait for tomorrow. It's good for us.

So just to make sure I'm clear the CRJs are going to PSA and some of the 90+ remaining 145s are going to Piedmont. But what about the 145s that went to Expressjet? Are those slated to come back at any point in time?

In the end, we are not growing. Yes, we are getting new jets but we are sending old jets away.
