There have been plenty of instances other than weight problems that Griffin has sent paperwork to the FAA.

Anyone crunch the numbers to see when first Envoy pilot hired after 12/23/14 is projected to flow? If the seniority list stays the same about 15 per month will flow in group 4 (180 per year). Seems like it will take longer than 6 yrs for those hired in 17' to flow moving forward.

From their own materials, (Q3 2016), they had 202 of the 824 group, flowing at 30/mo (7 months), 1109 of the Protected Pilot group flowing at 25/mo (44 months), 149 of the DOS group flowing at 15/mo (10 months), and 295 new hires after 12/14 flowing at 15/mo (20 months)

If they added 30/mo for 10/16 thru 1/2017 = 120 NH (8 months to flow them)

With NO attrition, I add the months 7 + 44 + 10 + 20 + 8 = 89 months + 10/2016 = 3/2024 flow date for a 2/2017 NH. 7 years!
or to answer your question, the first NH after 12/14 will flow at 61 months from 10/16, or 11/21.

However, attrition is huge - they have 1800 pilots. If one assumes 15/month (about 1%) attrition, which will be all senior to the NH in the beginning (though all junior at the end). This means a quicker flow.
So I would guess that 7 years is the outside number. I think they are posting inside 6 yr flow, and I think that is not outlandish. But don't think 3-4 years - no one is projecting that.

ALPA interactive seniority list projects guys hired 01/2015 to flow in 12/2020.

Don't forget it is for only 11 months a year, unless AA changes their current practice of no new hire classes beginning in December.

ALPA's list currently includes December classes. Maybe they know something we don't, or maybe they forgot to take that into account.

Also don't forget there will be only 35% (with no metering) after the 824 until the 40th 175 is on property. It's probably only a month or two, but it is during the summer months, when AA in recent years have had smaller classes due to instructors having to fly the line (I have no idea if that will continue). And also don't forget to take into account super senior Captains who may reverse their previous decision to flow. When many of them said no before, they were working 18-day-off day trip lines for 90 hours. Now even the senior trips are (relatively) garbage. Also, some may go over to AA in their last years to take advantage of what they perceive to be better medical, or just to say they retired an AA pilot. Considering we have 350 or so lifers, this could slow down the flow for junior people here and there.

And then there is the question of what happens when we can no longer hire as many as are leaving...
