Zurich
If you end up in Zurich, I'd recommend the boat trip around Lake Zurich. Cost was 23 CHF (about 19 bucks) for an all day as many stops as you like pass. Figure about 4 1/2 hours round trip. My co-pilot and I got off at the south end of the lake and walked around the little town. We got lunch at a little doner kalb place. Spent about 12 CHF for lunch.
Over all Zurich was very nice. Clean and efficent. Expensive. Dinner at a typical restuarant is 50-60 CHF with a starter and dinner. McDonalds is $11-12 CHF for a value meal. Beers ran 6 CHF for a large pils and a bottle of Diet Coke was 4 CHF. There were cheaper eats at the main train station and there is a supermarket on the south side of the station for meat/cheese/bread/wine dinner in the room or sitting along the river.
Other fun things to do. Rent a bike for free at the train station 5 CHF deposit. Local tram pass/discount museum pass is 19 CHF for 24 hours and 34 CHF for 72 hours. Trains to the other swiss cities were expensive (134 CHF r/t to Luzern) but we were told that there other cheaper options.

The Armory is a neat place to eat, (a bit touristy but fun none the less). They serve a flaming beer that's pretty cool to order and the food is good traditional Swiss/German fare.
