The airline will not be staffed unless we get much better pay and more flying. This is how management has gotten this backwards. If you build it, they will come. You don’t see Skywest hiring 400 pilots before getting a CPA for forty 175s. This is just the excuse they tell xjt pilots. Xjt will be lucky if they staff 100 aircraft.

You are correct on all accounts. One thing that you failed to quote is that I said this airline along with EVERY other regional airline will be a totally different company 6 months from now. I also said in 6 months IF United is your number 1 airline give express some consideration. You or myself can not predict what this or any other airline will look like then.
We are playing the same game that most other regionals are playing, who will play that game better?

When comparing just reserve rules, ours are top of the industry as well.
Management used to say that we can’t get new (or more) flying until we are profitable. Then they said we can’t until we have a new (concessionary) contract. Now they say we can’t until we have the staffing. And if we can’t staff enough for at least 100 aircraft, we are not viable. All this while they told us we would do all the east coast flying while Skywest will only do the west coast flying. Well, it’s true, we only do east coast flying, at least some of it. What was the sizes of each airline the day xjt was bought?
Commutair has a CPP with UAL and own 40% of them. I don’t think UAL will let them go out of business. And air Wisconsin also has a CPP with UAL but they have an even better contract than xjt.
