Gosh.

I can sure think of several (now defunct) airlines which would sure fit that bill....

It is pretty clear United is going to retire 700’s system-wide. SGU can replace their 700’s with the 175’s already on order.

Who is to say. They could retire GoJet's 25 700's and place the 175's at another operator...

The article is clear they are negotiating to see which of their regionals will get the 25. I would place ExpressJet, GoJet and Mesa at the top of the list for getting this business. Republic and SkyWest normally don’t fly United’s aircraft but their own aircraft in United’s colors.

The CRJ700 is the only Aspen approved aircraft so far... E175 cant, A220?? So OO will keep x-amount to support ASE. The rest will go..

The last United Express E175s to go to Republic were purchased by United. Republic is now partially owned by United (and Delta, American, Embraer, and GE). SkyWest does operate over 2 dozen aircraft that are owned by the mainline partner (although it is a fraction of their overall fleet).
