So, 200 pilots. No one is going to want to downgrade.... how is the LASA seniority being merged with LXJT?

Looks like there are a few guys on the LXJT side with CRJ type ratings who will be going through requal training and help out with flying these birds.

They’re going to need virtually all LASA bodies in both seats, in my opinion. The problem is that that puts a lot of relatively senior people in reserve territory (again), whereas otherwise they’d have a reasonable schedule in another category and base.

It sounds like you are assuming the ORD CRJ will only be filled with ASA pilots but that won't be the case. Only the first couple of ORD CRJ bids were open exclusively to LASA pilots, in order to get the program running now without a training backlog.

The upcoming bid will allow all pilots to bid across bases and types. Many LASA pilots leaving ATL and DFW will choose ERJ CA positions instead of the CRJ in ORD.

No, I am just wondering how the seniority lists will be merged. Obviously, Xjet wants to get the planes flying.

I assume some of the LASA pilots will want to bid the Ejet.

The seniority lists were already merged a year ago.

The seniority lists were merged in August or September last year.

When were/are the LASA pilots able to bid UAX other than the CRJ?

We don't know yet. Probably in the next few months after the UA CRJ flying is up and running, the DL flying is done, and the AA flying is closer to ending. Also in that time frame many of them will be leaving for their class dates are Kallitta and a some of the older ones will just say screw it and retire. In the end, we still don't know what the final l-asa group will look like.

Would a LASA captain be forced to downgrade if all the CRJ200 captain slots were taken....
