Default EXPRESSJET ATP/CTP course

So Expressjet hands you the “Turbine Pilot’s Flight Manual” book after all the fingerprinting etc for hiring. They say you’re supposed to review this book in it’s entirety before ATP/CTP class and there’s quizzes during the course. Any feedback on the quizzes etc? Do the instructors prepare you well for the exams? Much studying? Thanks!

No studying, and you don’t have to read it but it’s a great resource and I recommend reading and understanding all of it.

There is a final exam and won’t have a problem with it. Not trying to breed complacency but you don’t need to be anxious about anything wrt the CTP course.

When did you get this book? I interviewed on the 22nd received a CJO and uploaded my class dates into the system. I did not receive this book. I wonder if it is because I used to fly the PC12 or something else I don't know.

I interviewed in February and have over 2,500 hours between the C-17 and T-6. Maybe because all my turbine time is military although looking through the book it appears all standard turbine stuff.

They give one to everybody. If you didn’t get one it’s because they ran out due to too many interviews. At CTP they may give one or reimburse you for the digital version.

Start ATP/CTP March 18 in ATL, is the knowledge exam taken in house or do I have to schedule it at a testing center?

They had us take it at a testing center in our hometown during the week in between CTP and when we actually start class.

They reimburse you for the cost of the test.

That was during the government shutdown, so, there is a chance that might’ve changed.
