Just a few years ago I remember taxiing by Republic -145’s parked all over willy nilly as they didn’t have enough pilots to man them. They filed for bankruptcy protection, Delta was suing them for breach of contract. They were a dumpster fire and no one thought they would last a year. As time has passed I’ve come to see that you never know how things will turn out in this industry. ACA and Comair, once the “go to” regionals are long gone. Republic is still around. About the only thing I will say for sure is that the UAL regional feed is a dumpster fire. They can’t seem to figure out what they want. Either UAL is the evil genious or the inept simpleton. I mean 8 feeders?? Seriously?? You need to get a life and spend more time worrying about flying and other stuff than your former airline (if XJT was your former airline). What’s hot today is cold tomorrow. I really think when you look back on your posts years from now you’ll realize how naive you now are. I knew all the answers about the regional industry 15 years ago as well. |
