Get a cooler type lunch box bag. It’ll let you bring some food from home and avoid pricey airport food. Also you can stick your emergency ration ramen and oatmeal packs in there.

But with the Newhire bonus you’ll be able to afford airport food!

How much is the newhire bonus?

I may have been misunderstood. I am not looking for the cheapest luggage, I am trying to find out what people are using. I am just trying to be prepared. I start soon. I wish I were a broke 21 year old doing this... I am not.

I get it, I was just suggesting a cooler lunch bag in addition to a suitcase. I have one from LW than can clip on, slide on the handle, or hang on the hook of my LW roll-aboard.

My metal frame LW bag lasted 5 years commuting the whole time. I also had to replace the wheels twice. I just switched to the plastic frame and very happy with the weight savings. Guys who don’t commute probably get twice that amount of time out of it.

I have the Carbon. Stronger than steel, similar in weight to the plastic.

Wow big baller. I’m way too cheap for that. Don’t be surprised if I message you in 5 years to see how it’s holding up.

Their stuff is pretty good. I didn’t know they made luggage though.
