Yeaahhhh, that's great. You're a shady little car salesman. Current most junior CA in ORD and IAH on the 145 is 10 and 8 yrs respectively.

On the 175 in IAH most junior CA is 20 yrs. That will change drastically if/when more E-175's are awarded however.

Please don't use EWR as the metric for this since all the upgrades are going there and IAH and ORD are getting a trickle.

Let me know when our upgrade is down below 3.5 yrs when averaged across all bases. As mentioned earlier, senior F/O's in other bases don't want to be left out to dry on reserve in EWR with 11-12 days off a month with 3 days rolled a month. That's a great recipe to go crazy, get a divorce, hate life, or leave the industry.

Your smoke and mirrors are easy to see through.

So now you want to change it? If you think people choose a regional based on when they can upgrade to a certain base you might be slightly mistaken. You are referring to the reason you never upgraded YOUR career.

In the pursuit of actual FACTS, the most Jr captain at IAH is a 7/14 hire and the most Jr at ORD is a 8/13 hire. So 5&6 years, not 8 and 10. Also similar to where the EWR upgrade was only a few months ago.

Smoke and mirrors indeed.

Anymore lies you’d like to tell?

Change what? Upgrade time is based on system wide averages, not one single base.

You want to promote an upgrade time that is an outlier and not practical for most anyone unless they live in the EWR area. Much like the company says that the CPP has hired "thousands" and we are growing. Both are not true. It has hired 500 total throughout Mesa, XJT, Air Wisconsin, etc. We are still losing pilots. Period.

Go ahead and post the DOH of the 3-5 CA's above those in ORD and IAH. I'm patiently waiting. Those CA's base traded in. There is no major upgrades planned for either base so things aren't just movin right along gangbusters.

Why don’t you make some attempt at looking up some facts for yourself. I’ve discredited you thoroughly enough.

ORD/IAH are the 2 most senior bases currently. If you want to upgrade EWR is junior.

Using/applying your logic to UAL upgrade is decades if you only use DEN/IAH. Nvm that the last bid had 4 yr CA’s if you went to the junior base of SFO.

Two guys from the same hiring class at a regional get called for an interview at a major. They've been at the regional for six years each. One has been a captain for two years in a junior base. The other hasn't upgraded.

The captain has his interview first. He explains that he took the first available upgrade two years ago.

The senior FO has his interview next. He explains that he hasn't upgraded because the upgrade time at his airline is fifteen years when you average upgrade times at all of the senior bases.

Which candidate looks like an idiot?

First question I was asked in my UA interview after I gave a short introduction.

So I see you are still an FO? Have you bypassed upgrade?

My answer. I start my CA upgrade training in 3 weeks and this was my first opportunity to upgrade.

Their response “Congratulations”. Never bypass upgrade at a regional. The whole purpose is to put in time and get out!
