Calling on the most knowledgeable 145 driver to share the MFD key stroke sequence to display Wx AND Terr simultaneously on the MFD. I’ve seen it done but need to key stroke sequence. Any experts care to share the code?

You can’t have both at the same time on MFD. It’s only TERR, but now controlled by the scale/range buttons on the WX controller.

You can display WX on the PFD by switching to arc mode (FULL/WX) on Display Control Panel.
So now you have both Wx & TERR at same time, both controlled (and sync’d) in range by using the Wx controller buttons.

Starting with MFD on TERR...
Press MAP/ PLAN twice, then
Press WX/TERR once...
(or twice. It’s muscle memory now so I don’t pay attention anymore).

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate the info and not to be contrarian but you actually can display both Wx and Terr on the MFD simultaneously. They will both populate and you can control the scale with the up/down arrows. But, there is an odd soft key sequence that has to be pressed.

The key sequence is what I’m looking for.

Fred’s correct. You definitely can display both, I just don’t recall the cheat code.

But why? Put terrain on the FO’s MFD and WX on the CA’s. You get a faster sweep with just one WX display and the CA should be better at operating the radar anyway.

chart. MSA, stay above. Terrain display not needed. If you need it, it will show up.

That's the correct answer.

Can’t argue with you on the technique. But, still would like to know how to get it displayed. Any MFD nerds out there know how? Asking for a friend.....

Box terrain then hit map/plan once, then box wx and hit map/plan twice. Boom Wx and Terrain are both boxed. This is useful if u want terrain up and like to zoom using the arrow keys on the display control panel and avoid having to get rid of speeds to use mfd bezel to zoom.
