Sorry guys from a now desk flying trans states guy. I'm still going through denial, anger, depressed. But I have hope someday I'll be back in the skies. Putting around in a 172 for the itch once a month isn't doing it.

The glory days of Express Jet. Had some great times there.....hope the best for everyone involved. 😢 |
So bummed to hear this news guys.
First 121 gig and shaped me into Pilot I am today. Great training, Great operation, Great People. IMO best regional in the game. Best of Luck to all, Jetlink T9710 |
Jetlink was my first 121. The 145, as much as I never fit in it, will always have a spot in my memory. Never got to fly the “branded” planes but loved the Continental Express routes I was able to fly.
Sorry for the bad news. This year just keeps getting worse. U45** |
Long story short I flew for ExpressJet G74** 2006 hire went out on medical leave as a CA for a long time and got cut per the CBA. Went to C5 as a DEC and was super disappointed with their training department, it was scary bad. Ended up leaving after 7 months because of the poor support and horrible dispatchers. It’s truly sad to see an airline in which I had pride to fly for be chosen by bean counters to die. ExpressJet was truly a class act! Loved flying the Branded birds, may all of you find greener pastures.

ASA was a first class operation with the best training in the 121 world. I’m proud to have been a part of it and am glad to say it has helped shaped me into the aviator I am today.
PS.....SUCKS!!! |
Ugh. Awful news. I have ridden Acey jumpseats many times, and had many of you ride with us, and without exception you folks were top-notch pilots and human beings. Here's hoping you all find your way to a soft landing. 2020 can go **** itself.

Ex Mesa, Ex Emirates, now Southwest guy, who flew with some of you guys and gals, my heart is with you all. Horrible news to hear, hang in there! I wish you all the best.

I credit an ExpressJet Captain I met at a bar in New Orleans while on a trip at my previous company as the reason I chose to fly Part 121. He was a lifer but he had “17 days off a month and making 6 figures”. At that time for what I was doing that sounded like hot s5it to me. Sign me up.
I hope for nothing but the best for all of you. I know there are a lot of platitudes being thrown around. But this really is awful to see. You guys were recognized for being a top notch airline and the pilots you’ve produced for the industry are some of the best. |
Very sorry to hear the news. As a TSA refugee I remember y’all trying to scoop up our pilot group in a time of need and ever pilot I talked to was very eager at wanting to help. Iv enjoyed many jump seats riding on y’alls airplane and appreciated the hospitality.
