I'm surprised they haven't called the ASA option guys and asked them if they want to jump the fence for a sooner class date....

I did the 737 sim. It was a joke. I thought I had killed my chances, but they called the next day.

I've heard a lot of complaints from those who took it on the 737 (myself included) I'm wondering if they should lose the sim eval if the CRJ isn't available...

I wished I got called the next day... but alas I chose the ASA option... so here I sit and wait...

Our leadership is still playing dumb. Be careful what you wish for.

No, we didn't just canx 20+ flights on a Saturday for a lack of crews...nope, that didn't happen...

And I can only imagine what April will look like.

Ok so I have a question. I know someone who interviewed last week and was initially only offered the March 28 ExpressJet class. This would have only allowed for a one week notice for the current job. The April 4 ASA class would have allowed for 2 weeks notice but was apparently full. So my question is, why would they fill the April 4 class first and did anyone get the choice between ASA or ExpressJet or did everyone just get assigned something?

I agree! I got extended into my day off and then extended again on my "day off". We are short on crews and short on spare airplanes. The crews are tired and the maintenace guys are tired. All I know is, if mgmt. doesn't get their act together very, very soon and our performance numbers don't improve we will be in deep sh!t soon with Delta. There are already rumors of DL playing the poor performance card and axe us.

Wow this thread kinda exploded. When I started it I had no idea so many people would be interested. Thanks to all who helped contribute to it. I just finished my first 6 days of reserve after IOE and am based in EWR. If anyone has some questions about training and what not, please read the whole thread because there are a lot of helpful tips. Especially the first few pages. Not that I am an expert but I can help answer questions too. It was a great experience and I learned more than I ever thought I would. The key is to study hard and listen to the instructors. We have some fantastic instructors at Expressjet and they will do whatever it takes to help you out. I love this job already and look forward to more flying!
On a side note, does anyone know the next class dates and how many are in them? Got some friends who are looking to apply.

I think two classes for XJT started on 3/21 and one starts 3/28. I believe there are 2 classes planned for April. Not sure about the ASA side.
