ExpressJet Hiring

Anybody have a January class date? I know the 3 in December are completely full.

Just got out of the school house and rumor has it 300-600 new hires for 2012.

Crossing my fingers hoping that the hiring continues!

Personally, I think that is a vastly unrealistic number. Maybe for 2013+ but I would believe it if you cut a zero off the end of that range. We would all hope for hiring numbers like that but without taking gaining airframes I would find it hard to believe any numbers near that for just an increase in block hours across the fleet.

The 300-600 number is correct for the former XJT side, we just don't know which end of the scale it's going to be at yet. We need to upgrade a large number of FOs next year in order to staff ourselves properly. The projected number of upgrades is currently around 300. This comes straight from our head of pilot recruitment. I wouldn't be too surprised to see an addition number of guys coming from the former ASA side in addition to those who were on furlough from XJT.

Yeah I think those numbers are pretty large too.

By the end of the year, XJT will have hired 450+ for 2011. :D

I feel fortunate to be part of the first 100 of that.
