Unless you live in a PCL base I'd go with XJT if you get offered both.

Not sure you got all the facts here.

PNCL put out a press release that said they were going to seek modifications to try to reduce labor costs. XJT old contract is better than PNCL new contract. Not sure what facts are missing.

Yes...the part you left out is what you are missing. With ASA losing planes and in bad financial shape the ASA/XJT contract will be tough to keep. I think you may see your contract take substantial hits (hope not) with the threat of moving A/C to your non union side.

The contract won't take any hits because nobody here will vote yes to any type of concessions. We will continue to fly under our old contract with separate lists for as long as we have to.

If SkyWest takes any of our aircraft...our pilots go with them. That was the deal when they bought us.

They can't force the pilots to change the contract. If they transfer airplanes, pilots go with them with seniority and longevity...and eventually unionize the non-union side and force a combined list. Go for it!

From what I hear Skywest will never unionize and have zero interest in one list.

This is true, but we will of course always try to push for it. The bottom line is we do have some protections in place to protect jobs affected by the transfer of airplanes. We are happy with our current contract (still industry leading) and don't care if it takes 10 years to negotiate a new one.

Pick the one that has the best commuting option with earliest start date a close second.

With your previous hours you're just trying to get current to be eligible for a major but you may have to wait it out for a year or two so an easy commute is key.
