IF this TA passes, its not like the next day, all the 50 seaters will be gone. That will take some time. They can't just cut all that capacity/feed at once. Also, the new 900s, obviously will take some time to deliver. The 717s are coming at a rate of three a month starting mid 2013. Our 200 contracts expire in 2015, if they are here that long. By that time, there should be plenty of movement forward. I think it will be really interesting to see how Delta reacts if the TA is shot down. |
I'm not voting yes on any TA until I see the numbers on the DAL side fleet reduction and its staffing effect, and I suggest every XJT pilot does the same. |

My guess is delta will take as many 200 contracts and swap for 900s as they can. They are not dumb enough to sit on aircraft leases with no production . Pinnacle is in BK and probably a little easier to dump the lease. Skywest inc can also finace airframes. As far as the ERJ vs Crj side, unical guys want to tighten up scope probably worse than bigD. We are one company now so no matter what happens on either side it will effect us all.. |
