Need opinions on Age limitation @ ExpressJet
 

I am looking to apply at ExpressJet and I meet all their requirements except that they want everyone to be 23 by August 1st 2013, and I wont turn 23 until August 14th 2013. Any idea how this will effect my chances of getting an interview?

If you don't meet the requirements, then you can't apply. Simple. Wait a couple weeks.

The big question is, will you have the hours for the ATP by then?

You wouldn't be able to have your ATP by Aug 1, when i believe the law goes into effect because you are under 23. Sorry, but unless they give frozen ATP's you will have to wait until after your 23rd birthday.

You could apply, but I wouldn't count on a phone call until you meet the requirements.

Apply anyways, wouldnt surprise me if the FAA delayed the rules even further.

I don't work for xjt, but I'd apply, it could take a few months before you hear anything anyhow. By the time you apply, maybe get a call, get hired, paperwork processing class date, well you see where this is going. But see what folks in the past have had with the process, they may chime in here and give you a better idea.

Yeah I mean I just feel like it's only 2 weeks that could screw me over!

Apply. All they can do is reject your application. They just may "bite" & call you for an interview.
