Sorry ERJ guys? They have hired several hundred on the ERJ side in the last year and a half, while they hired less than 100 CRJ guys in the same time frame. The ERJ guys have had a pretty good number of upgrades too, while the CRJ captains have had some displacements.

This is kinda old news now. Myself and several others in the class mentioned this on the Xjet hiring thread.

We were severely understaffed by our previous ceo's operation green light. A lot of this hiring on the erj side was just playing catch up or for attrition. Our block hours were purposely low on the United side before we were bought to help force the merger. As soon as it was completed our block hours shot up and we were understaffed in every position and every base.

Glad to see more hiring going on irregardless of which side it is on.

Walking out of the Hartsfield Centre today there were four guys getting picked up the Concentra van.

Expect more to come to the CRJ side over the next few months. Nothing amazing, but enough.
