Default ExpressJet question

Can anyone tell me how quickly a new hire can get ATL? Searched the forum and haven't found any recent base info. Thanks!

Good luck... Pretty senior now that its shrinking as well, you might be stuck up in good old Cold D-town. That or somehow you will end up on the ERJ side.

Most hiring goes ERJ. CRJ drivers are being sent everywhere. Really it's a 50/50 whether or not you get the base you bid. It's a open answer but that's just how it goes. Some classes get all ATL, some get all IAD. Some classes get sent in all different directions. There really isn't a good answer other than it's not guaranteed you end up anywhere at this point.

Does this help?

FR8,
Ill try to answer this question without being a dbag... ATL is more senior however it's the CRJ sides largest base. Right now the CRJ side seems to be hiring about 20 per month. ATL is more senior but in general you may be able to get it right out of class or within a few months. It is more likely that you will be able to get better schedules due to increased relative seniority at other bases (DTW, DFW, IAD).

That said, don't come here. Go to compass. Your upgrade will be about a year... who knows what's going to happen to ASA/XJT... We are in for a battle and we just told management to go kick rocks ( soooo frickin proud of my fellow pilots)... anyways, I'm just trying to say it is a negative environment that you may not enjoy. If you want to be here then we welcome you with open arms, just don't say you weren't warned...

I really appreciate all the honest input. Trying hard to relocate my family to the ATL area. QOL is good where I am now, but it's not commutable.
Thanks for the info...it's helpful.
