That's a huge grand prize. I think most would be happy with a free all expenses paid 4 day vacation or a $1000. What ever it may be I'm sure the employees could have created a better scheme for far less money then they actually paid.

Notice how the non x-jet pilots call it ugly, there just jealous becuase there airlines will continue to whor themselves out with "Mainlines" paint job hahaha, I liek the paint, its unique

Easy now! We are congratulating you on your company’s venture, a venture that has not proven itself therefore there is nothing to be jealous about (yet?). Never the less the scheme is not the most attractive. So ease off on your abrasiveness!

Also, Xjtr is saying only about 70-75% of XJT pilots like the scheme. I feel that even if XJTr's don't like it, it will grow on them seeing that it's yours and no nobody elses, no matter how ugly it actually is. It's like having an ugly child; you still love it even though others can’t understand why you do.

Yeah, I just got two down stairs at the Doubletree in GEG. YUMMY! Hopefully I can break out of my hotel cage to go downtown to the Steamplant and get dinner.

Do you really think customers pick their plane based on what it looks like or what its paint job is?

I think not...They pick it based on route, price and perceived quality of service. It could be all white, black/blue/purple/yellow/brown..... doesnt matter.

I'm not talking about our customers and why they purchase tickets. I think that it's obvious that it comes down to route and price, what I'm talking about brand imaging and recognition. You can show a SWA, Delta, Continental, JetBlue, Alaska, etc jet without the name and Joe consumer can tell you who they are. No it’s not only because they've been around a long time but because of brand imaging. After all your a/c is a flying billboard that says come check me out, especially when your tickets aren't sold on Priceline, Expedia, Travelocity, etc. (?) This takes time and XJT will have some growing pains but hopefully they can create a good buzz that keeps their a/c profitable.
