Quote: Which regionals give RESERVE pilots 11-12 off a month? I'm very curious.
12 off at RAH with new contract; both line holders AND reserves.

Just saying.

12 to 13 off for reserves at SKW.

On the LXJT side, you can bid a floating reserve line and guarantee yourself either 12 or 13 days off. It was my experience that most of the time you got even more days off than the minimum without affecting mmg. I don't know how it works on the CRJ side.

Envoy is 11 off for both.

Quote: Not so sure what's so great about the XJT contract. 23 an hour is so low and every other regional gives a minimum of 11-12 days off every month. Seems like all the regionals are turds, just of different color
We've still got some decent stuff in our contract on the l-xjt side. Not the best but I definitely can see why they are hesitant to grow us because "we're too expensive."

Quote: ...I think getting ATL out of training is pretty good. ATL 70/90 reserve is about 1 year 9 months right now. Thats looking at the number one guy on reserve for december. I dont know about the 200 because I'm on the 70/90...
Not bashing XJT, and certainly not saying my regional is any better, but why go somewhere where you have to wait nearly 2 years just to get off reserve? I've never met as miserable a pilot as the Acey reserves in Dulles. You could literally upgrade in the same amount of time at half the other regionals from zero hours.

I never once tried to sell someone on coming here. I answered the OPs question nothing more nothing less. The only reason I could think would be if he lived in ATL. I used to commute for another regional. I came to ExpressJet and now I don't commute. Commuting to a regional whether you have a line or not is a version of hell on Earth. The only thing that is keeping me here is the fact that I don't commute.

I think the best advice out there is to go to an airline where you can drive to work. Nothing like getting in the car when done with a trip.
