at the risk of stating the obvious, isn't this just a case of a non-unionized carrier, SkyWest, killing the unionized side (ExpressJet) to pick off the lift from the carcass?

Still, the airline seems like it has a lot of great people, great performance, and excellent training.

I'd definitely go elsewhere.

I sure can't think of any regional ever surviving after parking half it's fleet.

(You are right, there are a lot of great people, training is good etc. Doesn't change the likelihood that Skywest is gonna gut the place.)

Have you ever looked at Air Wisconsin?

Look at how many planes they have.

Look at their contract.

Air Wisconsin has been hanging around of many years with just CRJ-200's

Not half, only about 1/3.

AWAC is losing pilots left and right. Their CP just came here to PDT.

39 airframes taken away from 282... don't think that's quite half.
(Using the airframe total here on APC; not sure if it's accurate)

As the CoEx golden child, XJT/ASA used to have 400+ airframes...

Remember, XJT and ASA two different airlines that happen to share a name. There's no combined fleet, seniority list, contract, etc. Parked ERJ's have no impact on L-ASA and parked CRJ's have no impact on L-XJT.

The fleet count on the L-xjt side is currently 145 planes on property and about 5 planes getting parked a month right now.
