EDV is probably going to get all of them with their southern up coming base (maybe two bases to cover this amount of aircraft)
12 is just the tip.

Our union is really good at telling us alternative facts.

As stated before, EDV is getting no more than 14 of these -200s. SKW is replacing their older -200s and the rest are being parked or sold back to Bombardier according to the memo. EDVs southern base has no affect on getting more than 14.

We've been told we (Endeavor) are only getting 14 because that's all management thinks we can increase staffing to handle.

I think they're only short term in the New York market. The southern base, if we actually get it, will probably be for more than 14 as they replace the 200 flying out of New York

Good question. The union is only as good as their elected representatives.

Always remember, unions always have the best interest of a regional carrier in mind.

There is a lot more to representation than simply being a dues paying member. Like was said in another post, any organization is always only as good as its leadership. And I'm not just referring to unions.

There is nothing the pilots or their union can do at this point. The decisions
are made above the airline level. The core always sacrifices the extremities to stay alive.

Union or not I feel Skywest could've figured out something that would work for all groups. What disturbs me more is the lack of comraderie or support I see from the Skywest pilots. Is it simply the union hate? If so, would they have same sentiments at the majors regarding their union? Seems like double standards? Granted they don't do as much for the regional side, but if one's goal is a major with ALPA representation I would think you'd support them along the way?

whipsawing on a smaller level.
Inc. is protecting Skw at the expense of express jet for now.
You hit the nail on the head!
