Once you're hired, you'll be based in EWR. Once there, you need to initiate a bid via base trade to get Houston. When Halley's comet next perihelion comes, you might expect to get Houston. As soon as you get Houston, if you're still alive, make sure you make yourself available by having your status as "will fly"

They will also tell you that XJT is one of the highest paying regionals for their pilots. They forgot to include the fact that most other regionals have upgrades in 2 years or less and that puts pilots on the CA pay scale. Upgrade time at XJT is over 10 years and still growing.

I don't see 3 months happening but I do see the time to get Houston dropping as most of the United CPP folks are coming from Houston. That will create some movement. I would guess 4-8 months. Upgrade times should also begin to drop as the last of those 8 year guys/gals upgrade.
