Email out indicating it's been settled, no details yet.

Also indicates remaining 5% details should be firmed up within the next month

This is a big win for us! Yes, it took an insanely long time, but there are A LOT of people who will finally be getting what they deserve. For those affected, the spreadsheet attached to the grievance chair's email breaks it down pretty well.

Some thanks to those who fought this is probably in order.

First, THANK YOU to everyone in the union who has worked on this. For those of us involved...we really appreciate it.

That said, I do not consider this as a big win. The company still is getting off paying out less than what is owed. If you look at the spreadsheet, there are a number of 757 FOs who are still in the NB right seat...and not by choice. Many, who were awarded 767 FO and were not allowed to train in seniority order, bid to the left seat of the 757 on a subsequent bid. Had they been allowed to go to the 767 in seniority order, they would now be in the widebody (on WB pay rates) waiting for their 757 left seat training. As it is, they remain in the right seat of the 757. So, while this payment takes care of a period of time in the past, it does not address the fact that they should be on Passover right now and in future months as they wait for their left seat training.

I am glad we won the grievance and glad to be receiving some money but don't fool yourself into thinking this is a 100% solution. Look at the list again...there are still 757 FOs who are still the the 757 right seat...not by choice...and still being paid NB rates. This settlement acknowledges that the company should have paid (and should still be paying) Passover to these folks. These folks should not be penalized just because they bid for a 757 Capt upgrade on a subsequent bid.

AGREE entirely! Thanks ALPA!!

I disagree with the other part of your comment. If a 757F/O bid out of the seat while he was eligible for the passover pay to a new seat, like 757 Captain, then they just took themselves out of the passover pay trigger. His/her original trigger was the delay to the 767F/O seat, and had they kept that in place they would still be getting the passover pay.

+1. The contract and past grievance settlements have established that a subsequent bid supersedes a previous bid.

About 100% sure I should be on the list. Good thing I took screenshots of the training letters and names when it was viewable a year ago, otherwise I probably would not have a case.
I have submitted my information to be included. And if I am, there should be other 767 Captains, not on the list, receiving the Passover as well.
Updates when I get feedback from union.

I thought this grievance was for 757 f/o's that had bid 767 and had new hires trained in the seat before them. How would a 767 captain qualify under this settlement?
