If you go to the United website and look at the receipt for the flight in question it will show the class it was booked under. I’m curious because I’ve seen codes in tripmanager I haven’t seen before.
Edited to add I don’t really know what the system we use on the Fedex website to book our own tickets is called. But the receipts we get emailed generally say Y for coach. But if you look on the United website our Y tickets do not always book as Y class. The online booking site has recently started showing letters I’ve never seen before for some tickets. W, E, T, S etc. just wondering if that makes a difference.

It sounds like the /ID65 is the culprit. ID I think refers to an interline discount. Something common with passenger airlines. They probably booked your fare under that discount, and no benefits are received from such a booking.
I'm just a new guy here so I'm not as familiar with the contract as I'd like to be. But I'm hoping that isn't allowed.

Just got this regarding missing mileage credit from earlier this month. Purchased the ticket thru corporate (Y class) the same way I always have, and it certainly wasn't "free." It seems they have a new policy. I already avoid UA whenever possible - this just adds more motivation.
Thanks for being a MileagePlus member.
I’m sorry, but we’re unable to process your request for mileage credit since it appears that your flight was purchased as a FedEx ticket and is considered as a free ticket.

That seems to be the culprit. FedEx buying the ticket at the ID65 rate makes it ineligible.

I’ve only had one ticket denied, and it was a “Y” class (Economy.) As an aside, it was more expensive than a recent First Class ticket that was was of a further distance.
Since the denial, I have had a FC ticket where the miles were posted. Perhaps it’s only a Economy class ticket problem. Anyone with similar or different results?

They can’t enforce what’s black and with in the contract, what make you think they’ll be able to enforce something that not in the contract.
