I don't think they collected any resumes last year, the event was pure informational only. No recruiter meetings or anything is what I was told.

A bunch of basic yes no questions. Just go as fast as you can to try and beat the clock. It’s a great event, I hope you can make it!!

This is accurate. They even stated SEVERAL times throughout the day that the Expo had no bearing whatsoever on one's chances at getting an interview. This was from the CP's mouth and others.
No resumes were collected, no one on one recruitment happened. Nothing of the sort. It was purely informational and way for them to sell the FedEx brand to the buyer. It was a great event that I thoroughly enjoyed, but there was nothing associated with increasing one's chances beyond possible networking opportunities.

Did you exchange any personal information 5 days prior at the expo leading you to believe that’s why you got the call? Did they talk to you about your app or anything?

Just trying to determine whether attending this event is necessary if I’m already sold on the FedEx brand

Personally if I really wanted the job, I would attend. What could it hurt by going? Leave no stone unturned...or every box checked..however you want to look at it lol!

Attending will probably not help in getting an interview, but would look favorable to be shown that you attended if interviewed.

FWIW I had an interview and I attended the job fair. I know a few others in the same boat. I was sold on the company after attending the event!

Worst case, you’ll have stories and experiences to draw on when it’s time to answer “why do you want to fly for FedEx”. Best case, you’ll put a face with a name to some very influential people.

Everyone that I personally knew that attended the expo eventually got a FedEx interview last year. That’s not saying that attendance was the reason why, but there was a correlation
