I miss the old PC. 😭

I take the silence as no one knows the answer? Lol

Update monthly. That should be good enough.

Military sortie conversion

I know on the old pilot credential application it added .2 per military sortie. The new application site does not state that. Does anyone know if it’s still computed? I only ask because I want my hours on my resume to match my application.

Emails from FedEx Pilot Recruit./Pilot Hiring

I submitted my application via the new application website in late JAN / early FEB. I've been updating it approximately two-three times a week and have not heard back or received any email(s) until two days ago. It's possible this was just a glitch with the new website, but the day before I received two emails, I updated my application and noticed that a couple of fields of my personal info were missing (items I had previously completed). The day after I updated/saved my application I received two emails; one from [email protected] titled "FedEx application process" and the other from [email protected] titled "Invitation to apply."

In summary, they tell me to update my profile, review it to make sure everything is accurate and up-to-date, then submit the application with the caveat that once submitted I am submitting a formal application that cannot be changed. In the email titled "Invitation to apply" it mentions that the link to submit my application is specific to my application and expires within thirty days.

My question is, after two months of having completed and submitted my application and not hearing anything, does this mean the system has just received my application? Has anyone had a similar experience and/or received the same emails? Is this a standard "form letter" or does it mean my application has been noticed and passed through the first "filter"?

Thanks in advance.

I submitted a personal endorsement to a friend recently and he received these same emails, which were puzzling considering that he had an application on file with Pilot Credentials for a year and then with the new system when it was implemented. A day or two later he received an interview invite, so it appears that you may have been selected for an interview but not yet invited, and the hiring dept is trying to get you to do a final update of your application.

Good Luck!

Filling out the profile on careers website is just that, a profile. You have not filled out the official app, until Pilot Recruiting chooses your profile and decides they want you to officially finalize your paperwork to be called for an interview. Hence the email inviting you to fill out the final application. Hope this helps.

Yes Sir, this helps. Thank you. I will follow the email instructions; update, review the application, and submit.

I haven't applied for/changed jobs in quite a long time....trying to learn/navigate the "system"!

More CFI stuff....

Not to beat a dead horse with the CFI stuff, but how would you fill it out if you had a SEL/MEL CFI, CFII, MEI but had let them lapse? Probably easier to just take a check ride to reinstate?

You technically still have those cfi ratings you just cannot actively use them bc they aren't "active". Just like a type rating that has lapsed. You still have it but you can't act as a pilot on one of those types without a currency check ride. Mine lapsed and I still list that I have those ratings because if you look up your airmen registration it will show that you hold them, even if you cannot utilize them.

That helped me as well, thank you. Curious now that they've asked for my final paperwork what wait time is for next step (phone call with invite to interview, email?). Waiting to pull trigger on Ready Set Takeoff if an interview invite materializes.
