Mega Bid Final Numbers
Now that the bid is complete lets take some guesses. How long will the sub 3 year 757 and sub 4 year WB captains continue? The last 3 bids over the past 5 years have had sub 3 year 757 captains. What will the new bases on this bid look like in next bid? Grow? Stay the same? What will the FDA's look like next bid? Grow? Shrink? Stay the same? This discussion will hopefully give some in-site for new hires and for those in the app pool this discussion should help with some foresight for future decisions.

On the FO side the new bases left some staggering vacancies. I suspect there may need to be a cleanup bid before summer of 22...maybe once we can see actual bid packs there will be more willing to swap to OAK 76 and ANC 77?

As a commuter, such as myself, I am sure it doesn't look pretty. As someone who has also lived in base, that schedule then looks really nice for a local. That's why commuters usually turn down the Jr. early upgrades and instead gain seniority in the right seat to get deadheads. It works out for everyone.
