Default Officer elections

So the union put out an election notice saying both the Chair and Vice Chair interim positions won't be elected until the October MEC week on Tuesday the 12th of October. The start date will be 3 January 2022.

Is anyone else concerned about a four and a half month lamb duck period during negotiations, and through peak? Does this show leadership and urgency by the MEC? Is anyone else concerned about the optics?

Hopefully the current officers will enjoy the holidays with their families prior to returning to the line.

Good job catching the typo, I must have been hungry.

Before I consider the job, the MEC needs to let us know what they are looking for in a Chair and Vice Chair. My positions are well documented. I look for best value for the pilots, not good enough.

Just saying "if interested..." after two resignations in just over a year is not good enough, the MEC must lead and let us know their expectations, publicly.

Fighting for Professional treatment and fair compensation for us all.
